Summer of Rock and Roll is over

Well, I made it through July and all the rock shows. And in August I managed a trip to San Diego to light a party for the BMW/Oracle boat. It is Larry Ellison's latest attempt to bring back America's Cup. It is a modern marvel. If you are into sailing then check this out http://www.sfgate.com/cgi-bin/article.cgi?f=/c/a/2009/07/23/MNAQ18T009.DTL
I added to the summer of rock while I was there doing a little show for the Smithereens. It was fun. Always good to see an 80s pop band:).
After a few little shows and a few brew days I ended the month with Outside Lands. That was crazy. Nothing like a festival for 80,000 people to give you some perspective on space. Considering the size it actually went quite well. Along the way I managed to see some of Pearl Jam and Tom Jones. I was even able to get Alisa backstage for the Dave Matthews Band. She was a little giddy:)
September is all about A&W. We had homecoming at our church today so Alisa was going full speed to be ready for all the teenagers. She started off the weekend with an overnight with 16 middle schoolers. Meanwhile I was out with some younger friends to see Flogging Molly. I am not sure who slept less. This week we are in full tech week for our show this weekend. Duets is an evening of music and dance and will take place at our church right in Alameda on Sept 19 7:30 pm . It is a beautiful space but a little challenging for lighting. If you are nearby come see it.
I have been brewing steadily. The garage is pretty full. I am preparing 2 kegs for our Octoberfest and 1 keg for Alisa's birthday at the end of the month.
